New Orchestra of Washington: Songs for the Departed: A Celebration of Dia de los Muertos
New Orchestra of Washington presents a Día de los Muertos concert centered on remembrance, celebration, music, and community. Led by Artistic Director Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez, the program brings together works by Aaron Copland, José Pablo Moncayo, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Silvestre Revueltas, Maurice Ravel, and Juan Pablo Contreras. Violinist Emma-Grace Kim joins the orchestra for Vaughan Williams’s *The Lark Ascending*.
A separately priced pre-concert reception is also available, featuring light food, drinks, live music, and a silent auction supporting NOW’s educational and outreach programs.
