Workshop in the ACW Studio: Learn Procreate Art Studio

Jeffrey “Jblend” Brady leads this relaxed beginner workshop on creating digital art with Procreate on the iPad. Participants will learn the fundamentals of brushes, layers, and creative workflows while exploring Procreate as a portable art studio used by millions of creators. The session also covers sharing finished work, using Procreate for print design projects, and finding opportunities for continued self-guided learning.

Brady has 25 years of experience teaching beginner and intermediate creators. His artwork has recently been exhibited at the Arlington County Courthouse Gallery and the Adams Morgan Art Walk. He has also served as the artist and animator in residence for Story District, Washington, D.C.’s autobiographical theatrical storytelling organization, and volunteers with Artomatic DC.

Tickets: ACW members: $40; nonmembers: $50

Registration: The workshop is open to the public. Payment is required when registering and cannot be charged to a member account. The class is limited to 15 participants, with 15 spaces listed as available.

Instructor: Jeffrey “Jblend” Brady

Required materials: An iPad with Procreate installed and a charging cable. An Apple Pencil of any generation and portable still-life objects or photographs for a photo study are optional.

Materials: The registration fee covers all materials.

Cancellation policy: There are no makeups, refunds, or credits for missed classes.

Accessibility: The ACW Studio is on the third floor and can only be reached by steep stairs; no alternative access is available.
