Yeison Landero brings the vibrant sounds of Colombian cumbia to the Kay Theatre at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on Friday, October 23, 2026. A leading cumbianero from Colombia’s Caribbean region, Landero is the grandson of the legendary “King of Cumbia,” Andrés Landero, and has devoted himself to carrying forward that ancestral accordion tradition. His performances blend deep family heritage with a signature style that has taken him from Colombian roots to major international stages, including the Hollywood Bowl, New York City’s Lincoln Center, and venues across Canada, Europe, and Africa.

This special Clarice Presents evening offers an intimate chance to hear one of cumbia’s most dedicated contemporary interpreters in a reserved-seating concert setting. The performance is scheduled as a single evening event, with discounted tickets available for students and youth. The Clarice also provides a comprehensive range of accessibility services for all guests upon request.

About the Event: Yeison Landero, grandson of cumbia legend Andrés Landero, is one of the world’s leading cumbianeros. He has created a distinctive musical style centered on his ancestral accordion, and he has brought cumbia from Colombia to audiences at the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, and across Canada, Europe, Africa, and beyond.
