Élisabeth Pion, piano

Élisabeth Pion, a 30‑year‑old pianist from Canada, makes her Washington Performing Arts debut as part of the Hayes Piano Series. Named Gold Laureate and Audience Choice Award winner at the 2025 Honens International Piano Competition, she has earned a reputation for technical precision, expressive depth, and a strong connection to her repertoire. Her solo recital at the Hopkins Bloomberg Center Theater features an ambitious program that opens with four Schubert lieder arranged for piano by Franz Liszt, continues with Johannes Brahms’s Three Intermezzi, op. 117, and Cécile Chaminade’s Sonata in C Minor, op. 21, and concludes with Frédéric Chopin’s Études, op. 25.
