Making Art Through Grief
Making Art Through Grief is an open studio gathering for people who want to create art while processing their own grief. The session welcomes many forms of participation, from making a zine or collage to painting, sitting quietly, laughing over memories, or discussing death, dying, and related questions with fellow participants.
End-of-Life doula and cartoonist Lillie J. Harris, who is trained through INELDA, leads the session and supports participants throughout their art-making. Watercolor, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and pastels are provided, though attendees may bring their own materials if they can be used indoors. All skill levels and abilities are encouraged.
