Olney Theatre Center presents a multi-day music production celebrating Ray Charles, the legendary “Genius of Soul,” staged in the intimate Mulitz-Gudelsky Theatre Lab from September 10 through September 13, 2026. The event honors Charles’s pioneering fusion of gospel and blues, which created a distinctly American musical style and made him an inaugural inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The program highlights his enduring classics such as “Georgia On My Mind,” “Baby What’d I Say?” and “Hit The Road Jack,” offering audiences an evening dedicated to his groundbreaking legacy.

The production features two performers, Quincy Vicks, known for *Long Way Down*, and Solomon Parker, recognized for *Kinky Boots*, who bring the music of Ray Charles to life. The show is part of the OL 2026-27 Olney Outdoors series and offers cabaret-style seating in the Theatre Lab.
