Beyond Borders Reception

Beyond Borders introduces painter Malik Greene, CHAW’s fall Artist-in-Residence, whose figurative oil paintings consider identity, kinship, and resilience through personal experience and shared memory. The reception celebrates Greene’s ongoing portrait series, which highlights the people, stories, and communities that shape Washington, DC.

During his seven-week residency, Greene will continue developing the series while visitors can view his work in progress and observe his creative process in the gallery.
