Jazz Jams at Busboys and Poets
Jazz Jams at Busboys and Poets brings a relaxed, community-focused evening of live improvisation to the Hyattsville location of Busboys and Poets, presented in partnership with Clarice Presents. The event features Washington, D.C.–based saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed, who performs a set with his band beginning at 7:30 PM. After the opening set, audience members are welcomed to join the jam by bringing their own instruments and calling tunes in a supportive, all-levels environment. Listening-only attendance is equally encouraged, and the entire evening is free with no tickets required.
The event is part of an ongoing series connecting Clarice Presents with local venues, and it receives support from the Maryland State Arts Council as well as Busboys and Poets. Accessibility services, including wheelchair-accessible and size-inclusive seating, large print programs, assisted listening devices, sensory packs, quiet spaces, and interpretation or captioning upon advanced request, are available for all Clarice Presents events.
