Atlas Presents The Room Where It Happened is a one-night-only Broadway cabaret built around the music of protest and patriotism, bringing together songs and stories from some of musical theater’s most powerful shows. The evening features stars from Hamilton, Les Misérables, Spring Awakening, Hair, and Suffs, among others, in an intimate concert setting where the focus is on the ways artists have used song to speak out, spark change, and capture moments of hope, rebellion, and heartbreak. With a title drawn from Hamilton’s famous “The Room Where It Happens,” the event invites audiences into that creative and political space, exploring how history echoes through the music and how voices onstage can become a platform for something larger.

The concert is conceived by Rachel Potter, who also appears in the lineup, joined by Omar Cardona, Justin Sargent, Stephanie Umoh, and Deejay Young, with additional performers to be announced. It runs about an hour and fifteen minutes plus a fifteen-minute intermission, making it a compact but rich evening of Broadway talent and storytelling. The performance takes place at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington, D.C., and is appropriate for all ages.
