Go-Go 50 opens The Washington Ballet’s 50th season with a four-work program that connects the company’s history to the artistic and musical energy of Washington, DC. The centerpiece is a world premiere, *An Artist’s Prayer*, by Chanel DaSilva with live music from DC-based Go-Go group Black Alley, bringing classical ballet into conversation with the city’s Go-Go tradition.

The program also revisits Choo San Goh’s *Configurations*, a landmark work originally created for Mikhail Baryshnikov; Edwaard Liang’s *The Art of War*, set to Michael Torke’s rhythmic score; and Trey McIntyre’s *Blue Until June*, an intimate work about longing and vulnerability accompanied by Etta James’s vocals.
