Glenn Leonard’s Temptations Revue

Glenn Leonard’s Temptations Revue brings a polished, high-energy tribute to one of Motown’s most beloved vocal groups to the Root Family Stage at Olney Theatre Center. The show celebrates the classic Temptations sound with five vocalists delivering the signature choreography, charisma, and vocal style of the original lineup. Leading the revue is Glenn Leonard, who served as the group’s lead tenor from 1975 to 1983 and recorded ten albums with them. His time with the group included the renowned 1982 Temptations Reunion Tour, during which he performed and recorded alongside the original members. Fans will hear plenty of the hit songs that made the Temptations famous, all performed with a full band.

Joining Leonard in the revue are Shelton Price, Melvin Franklin Jr., Kareem Ali, and Andre Jackson. Ali is a former Atlantic Records recording artist, while Jackson is described as one of the most powerful voices in the business. Together, this longtime ensemble aims to recreate the authentic look, sound, and charm of the original Temptations, including Leonard’s signature rendition of “Silent Night,” which became one of the most-played Christmas songs worldwide.
