Measure for Measure

William Shakespeare’s dark comedy *Measure for Measure* examines the collision between human nature and the law amid a period of social upheaval. This Folger Theatre production places the play in the 1950s American South and asks whose voices are suppressed and whose are able to break through.

Directed by Helen Hayes Award winner Psalmayene 24, the production stars Renea S. Brown, Nathan Darrow, and Lee Osorio. It is the first play in Folger Theatre’s upcoming all-Shakespeare season and marks the company’s first *Measure for Measure* production since 2006.
