Carnival of Curiosities

Carnival of Curiosities is an art exhibition at Del Ray Artisans Gallery exploring the strange, playful, and theatrical sides of carnival and circus culture. The exhibition features themes ranging from fun foods and silly games to eccentric costumes, haunted attractions, frightening oddities, and magic tricks, with the reminder that appearances can be deceptive. The exhibit includes “Killer Clown Quartet” by Tiara Safic-Martin.

The exhibition opens with a reception where visitors can meet the curators and participating artists, followed by a masquerade party near the exhibit’s close featuring music, drinks, snacks, artist mingling, and the announcement of the People’s Choice Award.

Opening Reception: Friday, October 2, from 7–9 p.m., with curators Tiara Safic-Martin and Morgan Parr and the exhibiting artists

Masquerade Party: Friday, October 30, from 7–9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear a creative mask or carnival-inspired outfit. The evening includes music, drinks, snacks, artist mingling, and the People’s Choice Award announcement.

Gallery Hours: Thursday 12–6 p.m.; Friday 12–9 p.m.; Saturday 12–6 p.m.; Sunday 12–6 p.m.
