The Holdup
The Holdup is the musical project of Michael Garmany, a San Jose, California artist known for groovy, melody-driven pop that blends R&B, reggae, and hip-hop influences. Although often mistaken for a full band, The Holdup is Garmany’s one-man studio project: he writes, produces, performs, and engineers the material heard on his albums. His catchy hooks and candid lyrics have helped him sell out venues including the Roxy and the El Rey Theatre, while his music has surpassed 150 million streams worldwide.
The Holdup performs with Cydeways and Dylan Reese.
