Steve Reich’s *Music for 18 Musicians* is considered one of his greatest works. A performance of *Music for 18 Musicians* is an exercise in listening and collaboration, with performers relying on one another and audible cues to move the piece forward. Join us for this joyful celebration of communal music-making for its 50th anniversary, performed alongside works by School of Music composition students. This concert is part of the 10th International Conference on Music and Minimalism hosted by the School of Music and the Society for Minimalist Music. Gathering more than fifty scholars from around the globe, the weekend of events includes research presentations, keynote lectures, performances, and an exhibit and sound installation, with support from Arts for All, ARHU, and Clarice Presents.
