Comedy School Showcase

Comedy School Showcase is a stand-up class graduation presented by the DC Improv Comedy School. After a month of developing and polishing their material, the students take the stage for their first live, in-person showcase, hosted by Chris Coccia. The event offers a chance to see new comedians perform their sets in front of an audience.

Chris Coccia is a longtime DC Improv performer and instructor who began teaching stand-up at the venue in 2006. Known for combining prepared comedy with spontaneous audience interaction, he performs at comedy clubs, colleges, corporate events, and other venues nationwide. His credits include winning the 2008 Purina Pet Comedy Challenge, appearing at the Great American Comedy Festival, and making appearances on Comedy Central, The Game Show Network, and XM Radio. He is also a frequent guest on Philadelphia-area radio programs.
