The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

Synetic Theater presents a wordless theatrical adaptation of Washington Irving’s classic American legend. Set in the haunted village of Sleepy Hollow, the production follows the aftermath of a brutal Revolutionary War encounter in which a Hessian soldier is beheaded and his beloved horse is killed. The fallen rider returns as the Headless Horseman, haunting the forest in search of what was taken from him.

Blending supernatural horror, movement, and theatrical spectacle, the production explores love, guilt, revenge, and redemption while questioning whether the true monsters are restless spirits or the human deeds people try to bury. It follows Synetic’s award-winning wordless style and is directed by Paata Tsikurishvili.
