Blondshell - Scaring Strangers Tour
Blondshell, the project of Sabrina Teitelbaum, brings the Scaring Strangers Tour to 9:30 Club. Her music combines loud-and-quiet guitar dynamics, sharp songwriting, large melodic hooks, and cathartic rock choruses.
The performance supports her third Blondshell album, *Violins*, which explores violence, religion, troubled friendships, healing, body image, sobriety, and the tension between life’s beauty and brutality. The album draws on influences including Gang of Four, Teenage Fanclub, The Go-Betweens, Sade, Leonard Cohen, and Pavement, with producer Yves Rothman and live-band recordings helping shape its expansive sound. Songs discussed on the page include “Lucky,” “Heart Has to Work So Hard,” “New Shape,” “Two Fried,” “New Age Trojan Horse,” “Stone Fruit,” “Sea Legs,” “Violins,” “Reinstall,” and “Fur Elise.”
