BoomBox

BoomBox is an electronic rock duo formed by brothers Zion Rock Godchaux and Kinsman MacKay. Their music combines organic grooves, soulful vocals, electric guitar, drum machines, and live-mixed computer beats into a dance-oriented blend that draws from a broad range of genres. Future Joy is also on the lineup.

Founded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, in 2004 by Godchaux, BoomBox has developed a global following while maintaining a sound rooted in backbeat-driven rhythms, smooth vocals, and original lyrics. The duo’s live performances pair Mackay’s electronic foundations with Godchaux’s guitar work and singing. In addition to their live shows, they sometimes perform DJ sets at clubs and festivals.
