João Castro Pinto / Guillermo Pizarro / Zottoh
An evening of experimental electronic and electroacoustic music brings together three distinct sound practices. João Castro Pinto presents work rooted in soundscape composition, live electronics, electroacoustic and acousmatic music, intermedia art, sound design, and radio art.
Guillermo Pizarro uses field recordings, tapes, harsh noise, synthesizers, and ambient textures to create cinematic sound narratives. He also operates Flag Day Recordings, a U.S. label devoted to experimental music, harsh noise, ambient music, and soundtracks, with a production branch launched in 2024 through Vitória Régia Studios for mastering, mixing, and film scoring. Zottoh, the solo project of Santiago Soto, investigates electric-guitar feedback, drones, and noise through amplification systems and spatial arrangements, emphasizing resonance and the physical interaction between sound, instrument, and environment.
