CHEEKFACE

Cheekface is a Los Angeles indie rock trio whose distinctive “talk-singing” style combines anxiety, despair, bleak humor, and playful social commentary. Formed in 2017 by indie-rock veterans Greg and Mandy with Echo, the band developed a devoted following through community-minded singalong concerts, with fans calling themselves “Cheek Freaks.” They perform with Apes of the State.

The band began with plans to release a single record on Bandcamp, but their 2018 song “Dry Heat/Nice Town” gained momentum online and sparked a word-of-mouth following. Cheekface released their debut album, *Therapy Island*, in 2019, followed by *Emphatically No* in 2021 and *Too Much to Ask* in 2022. Their fourth album, *It’s Sorted*, was released in January 2024, and its supporting tour included sold-out shows across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
