Sanctuary Park Tour: Celebrating 40 Years of The Jayhawks

The Jayhawks mark four decades together with the Sanctuary Park Tour, bringing their blend of country, folk, soul, Britpop, and rock ’n’ roll to the Lincoln Theatre. The band will draw from a career spanning more than 12 studio albums and three live releases, including songs from their upcoming album *Sanctuary Park*, produced with Bob Ezrin and scheduled for release in late summer 2026.

The Minneapolis-rooted group emerged from the post-punk era alongside acts such as The Replacements, Hüsker Dü, and Soul Asylum, and helped shape the modern Americana movement. The current lineup features Gary Louris, Marc Perlman, Karen Grotberg, and Tim O’Reagan. Their history includes appearances at major festivals such as Farm Aid, Primavera Sound, Pinkpop, and Wilco’s Sky Blue Sky, as well as touring and performing as a backing band for artists including Ray Davies, Roger McGuinn, and Johnny Cash.

Opening the evening are The Cactus Blossoms, the harmony-focused duo of brothers Jack Torrey and Page Burkum. Their recent album, *Every Time I Think About You*, expands their sound with contributions from Jeremy Hanson on drums, Jacob Hanson on guitar, and Phillip Hicks on bass. The record explores themes of change, loss, grief, and moving forward, with songs ranging from romantic regret to reflections on letting go.
