Magoo
Magoo is a progressive bluegrass quartet from Denver, Colorado, bringing intricate arrangements, tight three-part harmonies, and extended improvisation to a modern take on the genre. Their sound combines the emotional directness of traditional bluegrass with adventurous songwriting and expansive instrumental work.
The band’s debut album, *What a Life*, was released in February 2026. It features bluegrass legend Sam Bush on fiddle and harmony vocals and was mastered by two-time GRAMMY Award winner David Glasser at Airshow Mastering. Magoo’s recent accomplishments include winning the UllrGrass Band Competition and Clash of the Strings, placing second in the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, and selling out a headlining performance at Denver’s Bluebird Theater.
