Felix Contreras, the acclaimed NPR Alt.Latino co-creator and an award-winning journalist and percussionist, hosts one of the DC Jazz Festival's popular jam sessions, serving as a passionate ambassador for Latin heritage music. His session brings together improvisation and community, reflecting his deep roots in both jazz and Latin sounds.

When: Sunday, September 6, 2026, as part of the DC JazzFest at The Wharf weekend (September 5–6, with festival hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM).
