Featuring: Lindsay Currie

Lindsay Currie introduces *The Secret Bookstore Sleuth Society*, the first book in a mystery series for young readers. The story follows four best friends stranded at a book-themed inn during an ice storm. When a regular customer is found dead, the friends draw on their individual talents—and advice from an armchair-detective grandmother—to investigate what appears to be murder.

The central character, Merrick McGee, is struggling with her grandmother Ida moving in and spending her days caring for her in a small room behind the bookstore connected to the inn. The storm unexpectedly reunites Merrick with her friends, but their time together takes a darker turn when the police remove the body and attribute the death to old age. Merrick suspects otherwise and begins investigating, only to discover that her grandmother may hold the key to the case.
