Jazz Workshop Concert: Fall 2026

The George Mason Jazz Workshop, directed by John Kocur, presents an exploration of improvisation and composition through both established jazz works and new arrangements by faculty and students. Drawing on the workshop tradition associated with ensembles led by Charles Mingus and George Russell, the concert treats jazz as an evolving art shaped by craft, collaboration, and experimentation.

Audiences can expect a lively performance characterized by the creativity, joy, and spontaneity of live jazz. The concert is free and open to the public.
