The Suitcase Junket

The Suitcase Junket is the project of Matt Lorenz, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music combines early blues and rock ’n’ roll, jazz-inspired improvisation, Tom Waits-like character, and carefully crafted songwriting. His weathered, expressive voice and dark-folk style have earned praise from NPR’s World Café Live, WBUR Boston, and Rochester City Newspaper.

Lorenz’s seventh album, *To Go On*, was written after the loss of his sister, singer-songwriter Kate Lorenz. The record is presented as a tender, deeply moving conversation with someone who has died, exploring grief, love, and remembrance through poetic and richly arranged songs. The Fretliners are also scheduled to perform.
