Painting Workshop w/ Pattee Hipschen, Session 1

Pattee Hipschen’s six-week painting workshop, listed as Session 1, is designed for painters from beginner to intermediate levels who want to improve their work. The class combines individualized instruction with short demonstrations focused on composition, color, and technique, and it supports work in oil or acrylic. Students are encouraged to bring their own photographs or other reference materials to use as subjects, so the instruction can be tailored to each person’s interests. The workshop meets Wednesday mornings at the Arts Club of Washington from September 9 through October 14, 2026.

Instructor: Pattee Hipschen teaches the workshop, offering individual focus and short demos for each student.

Level: The session is structured to accommodate all artistic levels, from beginner to intermediate.

Medium: Students may work in oil or acrylic paint, and the instruction is designed to support all painting mediums, with oil and acrylic called out specifically.

Tickets: ACW Members pay $200.00; Non-members pay $250.00. Early-bird pricing is $190.00 for members and $237.50 for non-members if RSVP is made by August 31, which amounts to a 5% discount. Payment is required at the time of registration and cannot be charged to a member account.
