WOODY SEZ: THE LIFE & MUSIC OF WOODY GUTHRIE is a theatrical musical about the life, work, and enduring influence of American folk musician Woody Guthrie. Presented by Voices Festival Productions, the acclaimed production brings Guthrie’s songs and story to Dupont Underground in a high-energy celebration of his resistance, hope, resilience, and commitment to social observation.

David M. Lutken, a Helen Hayes Award winner for his portrayal of Guthrie, stars in this tour-de-force production. The musical features songs including “Bound for Glory,” “Pastures of Plenty,” “The Ballad of Tom Joad,” “Deportees,” and “This Land Is Your Land,” highlighting the rambling troubadour’s role in shaping folk music as a vehicle for social protest.
