Smithsonian Solstice Weekend

Join the Smithsonian Institution as it marks the summer solstice and celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with extended evening hours across the National Mall. The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden stays open until 11 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, offering visitors late-night access to its contemporary art collection and outdoor sculpture garden as part of the broader Smithsonian Solstice weekend.

When: Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Hours: The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden is open until 11 p.m. on both nights. Normal daytime hours apply before the extended evening schedule.
