IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES. IT WAS…… is a group exhibition curated by Sabiha Iqbal and Carolee Jakes, hosted at Studio Gallery in Washington, D.C. The title, drawn from Charles Dickens’ novel *A Tale of Two Cities*, serves as an open-ended prompt that gives participating artists the freedom to express their thoughts and interpretations without thematic constraints. The show brings together a range of works, including a featured piece titled “Poor Tom Mack” by Wayne Paige, and invites visitors to explore how each artist responds to the literary reference. The exhibition runs from mid-July through early August, with an opening reception in the middle of the run.
