Vidura B.R. brings his Paradise Gothic tour to the DC Improv on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. This sharp, darkly funny new hour tackles immigration, “radical” Buddhism, and the absurdities of building a life within late-stage capitalism, delivered with his trademark deadpan and postcolonial wit. Vidura takes aim at corporate tech culture, spiritual burnout, and the strange comedy of staying human in a numbers-driven world, creating a smart, subversive, and quietly explosive set that many consider his most fearless work yet.

Lineup: Featuring Vidura Bandara Rajapaksa, a Sri Lankan comedian, writer, and director. His self-directed & self-written comedy specials include Monsoon Season (2022), French Kiss Tunnel (2024), and Woodapple Jam (2024). His dead-pan style puts audiences at ease while challenging conventional wisdom with a unique tone that is often irreverent, at times poignant, and always hysterical.
