Museums & Makers Holiday Market

Museums & Makers Holiday Market turns Strathmore’s Mansion into a festive, three-day shopping destination just in time for the holiday season. The market brings together some of the area’s best museum shops and local artisans, offering visitors a one-stop place to find distinctive gifts that also support nonprofit museums and artists in the community. Every purchase carries a larger purpose, making the market a chance to give thoughtful presents while giving back to local cultural organizations and creators.

The event is free to attend, though a $10 suggested donation is encouraged and can be made online during RSVP or in person at the door. Beyond shopping, the market offers seasonal snacks and drinks for purchase. Attendees should note that strollers are not permitted, and parking is available both at the Mansion and in a nearby Metro garage, with staff on hand to help direct drivers.

When: Thursday through Saturday, November 12–14, 2026, from 10am to 6pm daily.

Venue: The Mansion at Strathmore.

Admission: Free to attend.

Suggested Donation: $10, encouraged to support Strathmore’s visual arts programs, free exhibitions, and companion programming; donations can be included with an online RSVP or made by cash or credit card at the door.

RSVP: Online RSVP is requested; visitors can enter a donation amount of $0 or any desired amount, add it to the cart, and check out.

Shopping: The market features wares from museum shops and artisans, including sample merchandise from The Shop at Strathmore.

Dining: Seasonal snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

Parking: Limited parking is available in the Mansion Lot, with staff helping to navigate parking; overflow parking is at the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage, which is free on weekends and costs $5.20 upon exit on weekdays.

Note: No strollers are permitted at this event.

Future Vendor Opportunities: Strathmore does not currently have a formal application process for the market; interested shops and makers are invited to introduce themselves online to be considered for future markets.
