Storytelling with DaVinci Resolve is a five-session, hands-on filmmaking course at Docs In Progress. Participants will create a cinematic promotional video about a journey along the historic Lincoln Highway, traveling conceptually from New York to San Francisco through landscapes, historic towns, and cities. The course uses footage from a real documentary, including music, drone shots, and voiceovers, to teach students how to shape a compelling story in DaVinci Resolve.

Students will work on Docs In Progress workstations and gain practical experience with the software’s editing, color grading, and delivery tools. The course is designed to build confidence for independent future projects, and DaVinci Resolve is a free application that participants can continue using at home after the course.
