Rastapé, one of Brazil’s best-known forró bands, brings an energetic, accordion-led concert to Black Cat DC. The performance celebrates the group’s 25-year history with a mix of classic and contemporary forró, including “Colo de Menina,” “Namoro,” and “Beijo Roubado,” promising a lively night of arrasta-pé and dance-floor music.

Founded in 1999 by Paraíba-born accordionist Jorge “Seu Jorge” Lunguinho, Rastapé now includes three generations of the same family. The band has sold more than two million albums and toured throughout Brazil, Europe, China, and the United States.
