Keith Grimes & Dean Dalton
Keith Grimes and Dean Dalton bring an acoustic-leaning blues and roots performance to Hank Dietle’s Tavern. Grimes is a prominent Washington-area guitarist known for appearing on platinum-selling albums with Eva Cassidy, while Dalton is a veteran bassist and collaborator in the local jazz and blues scene. Together, they form a highly regarded rhythm-and-guitar pairing within the DC and Maryland blues community.
Grimes has also performed with Chuck Brown, Bill Kirchen, The Nighthawks, and other leading regional artists. Dalton has worked with Anthony “Swamp Dog” Clark, John Bell, Reggie Wayne Morris, Mike Westcott, James Mabry, 4 The Groove, Elliott Levine, Glenn Wiser, Tom Kitchen, Karl Stoll & The Danger Zone, Bad Influence, and The Liz Springer Trio. His current projects include Liz Springer’s Built 4 Comfort, the Keith & Dean duo, the Esther Haynes–Keith Grimes–Dean Dalton trio, TNT with Linwood Taylor and Mike Tash, and The Known Agitators with Mary Shaver and Mike Tash.
