(N)O King(s) is IN Series’ “Requiem for the American Dream,” bringing together four ambitious works of vocal theater to explore the shadows and contradictions of the American century. The production combines Judith Weir’s *King Harald’s Saga*, Peter Maxwell Davies’s *8 Songs for a Mad King*, Luciano Berio’s *O King*, and George Benjamin and Martin Krimp’s *Into the Little Hill* in a dramatic, haunting program conceived by Artistic Director Timothy Nelson. IN Series will also collaborate with internationally renowned photographer and visual artist Connie Imboden on the production’s visual design.

Works: *King Harald’s Saga* by Judith Weir; *8 Songs for a Mad King* by Peter Maxwell Davies; *O King* by Luciano Berio; and *Into the Little Hill* by George Benjamin and Martin Krimp.

Washington Performances: January 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2027. The January 23 performance includes an opening-night reception.

Baltimore Performances: February 5, 6, and 7, 2027.
