Poiesis Quartet

Poiesis Quartet brings an internationally acclaimed string quartet to Strathmore’s Mansion for a concert centered on contemporary chamber music, collaboration, and innovation. Praised for its chemistry and warmth, the ensemble has earned top honors at major competitions, including the 2025 Banff International String Quartet Competition, and is recognized for championing emerging and underrepresented composers through premieres, commissions, recordings, and interdisciplinary work.

The quartet’s name comes from the Greek word for “to make” or “create,” reflecting its focus on shaping new musical experiences marked by expressive depth, experimentation, and shared discovery.
