Poiesis Quartet

The Poiesis Quartet is an award-winning young string ensemble dedicated to expanding the boundaries of the traditional string quartet. Named for the Greek word meaning “to make or create,” the group develops new musical experiences through premieres, commissions, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Its programs spotlight emerging and underrepresented composers while emphasizing synchronicity, expressive depth, and artistic risk.

Praised for its palpable chemistry and remarkable warmth, the quartet won the 2025 Banff International String Quartet Competition. The ensemble performs at The Mansion at Strathmore.
