Fast Eddie & The Slowpokes
Fast Eddie & The Slowpokes, founded by Greenbelt’s Ed Crowley, bring blues and roots music to Hank Dietle’s Tavern. The band made its debut at the DC Blues Society’s Annual Fish Fry and Blues Show, then won the Society’s Battle of the Bands and represented the region at the 2013 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Their later competition success led to a Kennedy Center appearance, and they have continued performing at festivals, clubs, and concert venues throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
The group has appeared regularly at the Greenbelt and Colonial Beach Blues Festivals, headlined Pearl Street Warehouse at The Wharf and The Hamilton, and performed on the Blues Cruise along the Susquehanna. Their touring history includes stops in Baltimore, Columbia, Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, Richmond, Winchester, and the Maryland-Delaware beach communities.
