Veiled Ladies

Veiled Ladies is an exhibition of thirty-one intimate paintings by Dee Levinson, presented by Dupont Underground and curated by Gaby Mizes. Inspired by an eighteenth-century sculpture of a Vestal priestess at the National Gallery of Art, the series considers how women have been viewed, concealed, protected, and revealed across history. Together, the paintings form an immersive installation examining visibility and concealment, vulnerability and resilience.

Opening Reception: Friday, September 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Entry is free.

Regular Gallery Hours: Fridays from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM; Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Schedule Note: Gallery hours may be shortened for performance schedules. On September 12, the gallery closes at 1:00 PM; on September 18, it closes at 7:00 PM.

Tickets: $5 general admission. One ticket includes entry to both Veiled Ladies and the concurrent exhibition The Skin of Discomfort. Opening reception entry is free.
