Veiled Ladies

Veiled Ladies is an exhibition of thirty-one intimate paintings by Dee Levinson, curated by Gaby Mizes and presented by Dupont Underground. Inspired in part by an eighteenth-century sculpture of a Vestal priestess at the National Gallery of Art, the series examines how women have been viewed, hidden, protected, and revealed across history.

The paintings form a unified installation that considers visibility and concealment, vulnerability and resilience, and the lasting symbolism of the veil. The exhibition is presented concurrently with *The Skin of Discomfort*, and selected works are available for purchase.

When: Friday, September 4 through Sunday, October 4, 2026

Opening Reception: Friday, September 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Entry is free during the reception.

Regular Gallery Hours: Fridays from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM; Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Tickets: $5 general admission. One ticket includes entry to both *Veiled Ladies* and *The Skin of Discomfort*.
