Theater Makers 2
Theater Makers 2 is a six-week theater class for children ages 9–11. Through movement, dialogue, and improvisation, students work together to develop stories, characters, and scenes while building communication, creative problem-solving, and spatial-awareness skills in a fun, supportive setting.
The class is taught by Sean Finan, an educator and educational theater practitioner with experience in elementary education, creative theater programs, directing, and Shakespeare instruction.
When: Thursdays, October 1 through November 5, 2026
Showtimes: 5:30–6:30 p.m. each class day
Tickets: Tuition is $155. Financial aid is available through the application provided by Signature Theatre.

Instructor: Sean Finan
Instructor background: Finan is a Washington, D.C., native and elementary school teacher who uses drama-based methods to support academic learning and social-emotional development. He has taught Language Arts and Social Studies at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School for 10 years, incorporating his experience in performance and directing into literacy education. He also leads creative theater programs for elementary students and Shakespeare programs for middle schoolers, and previously directed summer camp productions with Adventure Theatre MTC. His current interests include developing musical theater history and literacy curricula for elementary and middle school students. He holds a BA in Theatre from Guilford College, an MA in Educational Theatre from New York University, and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction–Literacy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
