A. Brockie Stevenson: An American Vision is an exhibition of the artist’s precise, meditative depictions of America’s built environment—small-town houses, fire stations, storefronts—presented in eleven paintings and eight silkscreens. Stevenson, trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and a longtime teacher at the Corcoran, shaped generations of artists, and this show situates his work within the lineage of American Realism.
