GWAR

The intergalactic shock-rock collective GWAR will descend upon 9:30 Club for a single night featuring a full lineup of supporting acts. Born from a sci-fi horror concept, GWAR is known for its outrageous, blood-soaked costumes, satirical lyrics, and theatrical performances that blend heavy metal with grotesque comedy. The band has been a staple of the underground scene for decades, and their live shows are legendary for their chaotic, over-the-top spectacle. Joining them are three distinctive acts: Midnight, a relentless black/speed metal trio from Cleveland known for their raw, primitive sound; Mac Sabbath, a parody band that reimagines Black Sabbath songs with a fast-food theme and McDonald’s-inspired costumes; and X-Cops, a spin-off project featuring members of GWAR and others, dressing as police officers and performing hardcore-infused crossover thrash.
