A Sherlock Carol
A Sherlock Carol is an inventive holiday play with carols by Mark Shanahan, inspired by the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Set in 1894, it brings Sherlock Holmes and Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol into the same Victorian mystery: a grown-up Tiny Tim turns to Holmes to investigate the mysterious death of Ebenezer Scrooge.
As Holmes pursues the case, he must confront his own past and inner turmoil through spectral encounters that echo Scrooge’s transformative journey. The production combines two literary classics into a festive theatrical experience filled with mystery, music, and holiday cheer.
