The Power of the Story: Emerging Film Competition

The Power of the Story: Emerging Film Competition, presented by March On!, showcases six finalist short films by student and emerging filmmakers from across the country. The films use bold storytelling and fresh perspectives to examine social justice, bringing audiences into stories and issues they may not have encountered before while offering new ways to consider familiar topics.

The program was selected from nearly 100 submissions. In addition to the screenings, the afternoon includes a reception and a filmmaker talkback, offering an opportunity to engage with the people behind the films.
