Bill Kirchen

Grammy-nominated guitarist, singer, and songwriter Bill Kirchen performs at Jammin Java. He first gained national recognition as a founding member of Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, whose recording of “Hot Rod Lincoln” reached the Top Ten in 1972. Kirchen’s signature guitar work and roots-rock style have since led to more than a dozen albums under his own name and collaborations with numerous Americana and rock ’n’ roll artists.

His recording credits and live associations include Gene Vincent, Link Wray, Bo Diddley, Hazel Dickens, Doug Sahm, Hoyt Axton, Emmylou Harris, Maria Muldaur, Dan Hicks, Nick Lowe, and Elvis Costello. His latest album, *Cat out of the Bag*, was released on May 22, 2026, by Last Music Company.
