NSO—Triumph: Noseda Conducts Prokofiev

Under Gianandrea Noseda’s direction, the National Symphony Orchestra presents a program about finding hope and energy amid adversity. The concert moves from the wit and tension of Stravinsky and Haydn to the wartime resilience of Prokofiev’s monumental Fifth Symphony, ultimately building toward a hard-won sense of triumph.

Prokofiev composed his Symphony No. 5 during World War II, and the work’s humanity, struggle, and optimism form the emotional center of the program.
