The Washington Bach Consort presents Bach’s cantata *Brich dem Hungrigen dein Brot*, BWV 39, as part of its Noontime Cantata Series. The program begins with two organ works by Dieterich Buxtehude before turning to Bach’s cantata, performed by soprano Sara MacKimmie, alto P. Lucy McVeigh, and bass Ross Tamaccio, with Paula Maust on organ.
The presentation is offered twice at different Washington, DC, churches: at St. Mark’s Capitol Hill for the Capitol Cantata Series and at Church of the Epiphany for the Downtown Cantata Series.
