Guachinangos w/ Chicha Morada

Guachinangos and Chicha Morada bring an energetic Latin American double bill to Songbyrd Music House. Guachinangos blends son jarocho, cumbia, champeta, and other folk traditions with electric instrumentation, creating a lively performance shaped as both a dance celebration and a communal gathering. The collective also presents music and dance education programs focused on intercultural and intergenerational connection.

Washington, DC–based Chicha Morada joins the lineup with its psychedelic take on Peruvian chicha, traditional cumbia, and salsa. The band has been active throughout the DC area and recently returned from a sold-out New York City performance.
