Cravin' Dogs
Cravin’ Dogs bring an eclectic, all-original roots-rock sound to Hank Dietle’s Tavern. Their music draws from folk, classic rock, 1980s new wave, bluegrass, and harmony-focused vocals, combining acoustic and electric textures with the band’s distinctive “gonzo-folk” origins.
The group began in 1986 as a trio featuring Caldwell Gray, Lisa “Weezy” Venable Gray, and Tom Helf. Since then, Cravin’ Dogs have grown into a five-member ensemble, performed more than 1,000 shows, and released ten full-length albums, an EP, and two compilation retrospectives.
